Since joining Jones Day in September 2002, Neelie Simmons has practiced in a variety of litigation areas, including product liability, insurance coverage, commercial litigation, and employment. Her experience involves proceedings in state and federal courts throughout the country.

Neelie's practice in the product liability area has required her to gain a working knowledge of a number of medical issues, which contributed to aggressive cross-examination of opposing experts and pending motions to exclude expert testimony. More recently she has been involved in a multimillion dollar insurance coverage dispute involving several questions of first impression under California insurance law. She is also responsible for nearly a dozen smaller matters filed pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Neelie is a member of the American, Pennsylvania, and Allegheny County Bar associations; and she is currently involved in the Allegheny County Bar Association's Diversity Initiative. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania as well as the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
