Lawyer Overview

Yuichiro Mori has extensive experience in international and domestic commercial transactions, including M&A, licensing and distribution agreements, and joint ventures. He also has considerable experience in international and domestic dispute resolutions. Yuichiro was recently involved in a prominent hostile corporate takeover bid case in Japan. In addition, he is regularly appointed by the Tokyo District Court as a bankruptcy trustee.

Yuichiro worked for seven years with the international law firm Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu in Tokyo and for one year with Hughes Hubbard & Reed in New York. He is author of two articles: "The New Way to Rehabilitate Distressed Companies in Japan, The IFLR Guide to Japan 2004, published by Euromoney, and "New Opportunities for MEA Under the Civil Rehabilitation Law," Asialaw, July/August 2003, published by Euromoney Institutional Investor. He is also coauthor of two books: Primer for the Legal Profession, published by K.K. Seibun-do, and Legal and Tax Issues of International Transactions, published by Sin Nihon Hoki Shuppan K.K. Yuichiro is fluent in English and Japanese.
