Lawyer Overview

Laura Meaden concentrates her practice in the area of corporate and commercial litigation. She has successfully represented clients in litigation involving a broad range of substantive areas, including partnership and shareholder disputes, business torts, ERISA disputes, and complex product liability suits alleging toxic exposures.

Laura is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and Allegheny County Bar Association, where she has served as chair of the Public Relations Committee and chair of the Civil Division Subcommittee of the Allegheny County judge's book project. She currently serves as editorial staff member of the Pittsburgh Legal Journal. She is the former co-chair of the By-Laws Committee of the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera Guild and is currently a member of the board of directors of FISA Foundation, which provides grants to nonprofit organizations supporting quality of life issues for adults and children with disabilities and health needs of women and girls.

Prior to joining Jones Day, Laura was a shareholder and director of the law firm of Cohen & Grigsby.
