Yelena Fertman practices in the area of employee benefits and executive compensation. Yelena has been involved in obtaining private letter rulings from the Internal Revenue Service and advising clients regarding the IRS programs for correcting plan qualification defects.

Yelena also has experience working with welfare benefit plans under ERISA. She has been involved in the design, implementation, administration, and regulatory compliance of group health plans, cafeteria plans, dependent care plans, qualified domestic relations orders, and qualified medical child support orders.

Yelena is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and its Taxation Section. Prior to joining the Firm, she worked with the employee benefits group at Ice Miller in Indianapolis, Indiana. In addition, Yelena speaks fluent Russian and Ukrainian.
