Mike Ferrell's practice involves all areas of labor and employment law, including representing employers before administrative agencies, federal courts, and state courts in dealing with claims of employment discrimination, the enforcement of employment contracts, and matters involving the National Labor Relations Act. Mike has significant experience in representing employers in unfair labor practice proceedings, collective bargaining, union organizing and decertification proceedings, strikes and picketing disputes, and corporate campaigns. His traditional labor practices extends nationwide and includes employers in the manufacturing, retail, telecommunications, and transportation industries. Representative clients include Bridgestone/Firestone, Edw. C. Levy Co., Verizon Communications, Continental Tire, Albertsons, and Bulkmatic Transport Company.

Mike's practice also includes trial and appellate litigation of employment disputes, including representing employers in employment litigation before U.S. District Courts in Illinois and state courts in Illinois, Ohio, Massachusetts, and Michigan. He also represents employers in class action litigation pertaining to wage and hour compliance, employee benefits, and other employment issues. In addition to his litigation practice, Mike counsels employers regarding various labor and employment issues, including hiring, firing, and discipline-related issues; compensation practices; reductions in force; employment and severance agreements; wage and hour compliance; and other labor and employment issues. Besides representing employers, Mike has represented individual asylum applicants before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Immigration Court.

Mike is a member of The Chicago Bar Association, the State Bar of Illinois, the trial bar for the Northern District of Illinois, and the bar for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
