Marla has been involved in litigation for the past 19 years. She has handled product liability cases and securities, patent, employment, bankruptcy, and general business litigation matters. She particularly concentrates on the discovery phase of litigation, specifically the collection, maintenance, and production of information. Marla has considerable experience in the discovery of electronic documents and issues concerning document retention and production practices. She regularly speaks and publishes on document retention and e-discovery issues and is a member of the Firm's e-Discovery Committee and cochair of the Firm's e-Discovery swat team.

• In re Davis Petroleum (S.D. Tex.). (Representation of Davis Petroleum in connection with bankruptcy adversary proceeding. Managed the collection, review, and production of discovery material, including electronic discovery.)

• Rosenberg v. IBM (N.D. Cal.). (Representation of IBM in connection with putative class action under the Fair Labor Standards Act. Managed the collection, review, and production of discovery material, including various formats of electronic discovery.)

• In re Enron Corporation Securities Litigation (S.D. Tex., Cal., Tex., and Iowa). (Representation of Lehman Brothers in several securities fraud actions brought by shareholders and noteholders of the Enron Corporation. Coordinated the collection, maintenance, and production of all discovery material, including electronic discovery. Managed the review of more than 40 million documents.)

• Research in Motion, Ltd. v. Good Technology, Inc. (D. Del.). (Representation of RIM in patent infringement action. Coordinated the collection, maintenance, and production of all discovery material, including electronic discovery. Managed the review and maintenance of information produced by others. Successfully won motion to compel on oral argument.)

• In re McNeil-PPC, Inc. (multiple state and federal courts). (Defended acetaminophen manufacturer in product liability actions alleging toxic ingestions. Coordinated the collection, maintenance, and production of all discovery material. Advised the client with ongoing document retention policies.)
