Jason’s shareholder and partnership dispute practice focuses on the litigation and resolution of governance and other issues among shareholders or partners. In relation to real estate matters, his litigating typically involves disputes between commercial landlords and tenants.

Jason is admitted to practice before Minnesota state courts, the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Minnesota and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. He also provides pro bono representation to refugees seeking asylum in the United States. Jason is a member of the Hennepin County, Minnesota State and American Bar associations. He has been named a “Minnesota Rising Star” by Minnesota Law & Politics and served as adjunct professor for a course entitled “Writing, Representation and Persuasion” at his alma mater, William Mitchell College of Law.

Born in Morris, Minnesota, Jason received his B.A in history and political science from Concordia College. He received his law degree summa cum laude from William Mitchell College of Law, where he was an associate editor and contributing writer for the William Mitchell Law Review. Jason joined Briggs in 2002.
