Dr. Rahul Pathak has extensive experience representing companies in areas of patent law related to chemistry and biochemistry. Dr. Pathak advises clients in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, biofuels, and fuel additives among others. Dr. Pathak's representative clients include start-up companies, established companies, academic institutions, and investment firms.
Dr. Pathak has a strong background in patent procurement and portfolio management, patent opinions, and ex parte and inter partes reexamination. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Pathak has advised clients on managing global patent portfolios for marketed pharmaceuticals, developing patent portfolios for new chemical entities, conducting intellectual property due diligence for private and public investments in pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, and developing a patent portfolio of biofuels.
Dr. Pathak has extensive experience with small molecule pharmaceuticals, peptide pharmaceuticals, polypeptide pharmaceuticals, nucleic acid diagnostics, polypeptide biochemistry, structural biology, and molecular biology.
In 2008, Dr. Pathak was listed among the Daily Journal's "Leading Portfolio Managers, Patent Prosecutors and Litigators."
