Samantha E. Weissbluth is senior counsel with Foley & Lardner, concentrating her practice in the area of estate and trust litigation. Her practice encompasses all aspects of estate and trust litigation, including breach of fiduciary duty issues, judicial constructions of wills and trusts, will and trust contests, tax litigation, contested heirship, adoption and paternity issues, charitable pledge disputes, guardianship matters, estate planning malpractice and wrongful death actions. She also has significant experience in estate, trust, guardianship and charitable administration.

She is a co-author of the chapters entitled Termination of the Trust and Trust Litigation in IICLE's 2005 Trust Administration handbook and Trust Contests and Heirship, Adoption and Paternity in IICLE's 2002 Estate, Trust and Guardianship Litigation handbook.

Ms. Weissbluth is a frequent contributor to Trust and Estate magazine and is the editor of a quarterly Foley newsletter entitled Legal News: Estate and Trust Litigation. Her professional activities and affiliations include membership in the American, Illinois and Chicago Bar Associations and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. She is also a member of the Young Professional Advisory Committee of the Chicago Community Trust.

Ms. Weissbluth's received both her B.A. and J.D. from Northwestern University. While in law school, she served as articles editor of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology.

Ms. Weissbluth is admitted to practice in Illinois and before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
