Lawyer Overview

Markus Plesser's practice includes litigation and counseling clients on intellectual property matters. He has broad experience in patent, utility model, copyright, trademark and design patent infringement proceedings, as well as unfair competition litigation. He counsels and represents clients in numerous matters relating to advertising, research and development, licensing, franchising, distribution, Internet and hard- and software. He represents clients in trademark matters before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the European Office for the Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM).

Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson Raue, Markus Plesser was an attorney in the intellectual property group of the Berlin office a major German law firm. He began his law practice in May 1997 at a renowned Duesseldorf law firm that concentrates exclusively on intellectual property law.
