Lawyer Overview

Sascha Herms focuses his practice on labor and employment matters. He represents employers in proceedings before the Local and State Labor Court. Sascha also counsels national and international clients on a range of general labor and employment topics, with a particular emphasis on downsizing and other such personnel policies and practices. Sascha also focuses in German social security law with a particular emphasis on cross-border issues.

Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Sascha practiced in Berlin as a lawyer at a leading German law firm. Until his admission to the State Bar of Berlin in 1999, he worked as a teaching and research assistant for the Chair of German labor and social security law at the Free University of Berlin. He has extensive experience in lecturing and training. He frequently holds lectures at the School of Technical Science and Economics in Berlin and the Free University of Berlin.
