Lawyer Overview

Mareile Büscher's practice focuses primarily on intellectual property matters. She has experience in all aspects of press and media law, as well as copyright litigation. In addition, her practice includes arts and entertainment law as well as sponsoring issues, in particular in the field of culture.

After passing her First State Exam in Law, Mareile spent a year in Florence, Italy, at the European University Institute where she received her LL.M. Following that, Mareile served as a judicial clerk in Berlin, focusing on IP law. After passing her Second State Exam, she was appointed lecturer on civil law and civil procedure law at Humboldt-University in Berlin, where she received her doctoral degree.

Mareile has published on matters of art law. She has also co-authored a handbook, Kommentar, on copyright law.
