Lawyer Overview

Max Braeuer focuses his practice on real estate transactions and on family law issues. He is head of the notary with respect to all real estate matters counseled at the Berlin office. This has afforded him substantial experience in all matters and activities relating to real estate purchases and the real estate register. He counsels clients on tax-oriented real estate investments on a large scale, in particular with respect to real estate investment funds. Beside his counseling activities as a notary, Max is also a practicing attorney covering the same fields. Locally and supra-regionally, he represents acting investors, building agencies and real estate investment funds. Another focus of his activities is family law. He is very experienced in counseling married couples on disputes, in particular with reference to financial issues and the distribution of complex family assets. His activities also include counseling on concluding marriage contracts and the structuring of family-tied assets, as well as inheritance regulations.

Prior to joining the firm, Max was a partner in the Berlin office of another well-known law firm. Since 1983, he has been a tax lawyer and since 1988, he has also been a notary. Following this period, he became a judge at the Anwaltsgerichtshof in Berlin. He is a lecturer for family law at the Humboldt University in Berlin.
