Emily Babalas is a counsel in the Corporate Department at WilmerHale. She joined the firm in 2001. 

Practice

Ms. Babalas practices corporate and securities law, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, public offerings and venture capital transactions. A significant portion of her practice consists of counseling public companies on ongoing corporate legal matters, including federal securities reporting requirements and corporate governance issues. Ms. Babalas is a member of the Underwriting Group and has represented issuers and underwriters in capital markets financings.

Ms. Babalas has represented public and private companies in a wide range of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and bridge financings and corporate reorganizations. She provides ongoing and transactional advice to public and private companies in a variety of high technology industries, including Internet, life sciences and manufacturing.

Prior to joining the firm in 2001, Ms. Babalas was an intern in the Office of the Middlesex County District Attorney.
