Lawyer Overview

Craig is a native of the Atlanta suburb of Woodstock, GA. Before attending law school, he made his living as a professional actor appearing nationally on stage and in television, film, print and radio. He was the recipient of the ACTF Irene Ryan Award for Film in 1991 and the Stanley Theatre Talent Scholarship of the Goodman Theatre Conservatory at DePaul University in 1992. Appearances include the movie "Queen" with the likes of Martin Sheen and Halle Berry; a regional tour of "Streetcar Named Desire," "In the Heat of the Night" and an appearance as Romeo in Shakespeare's "Romeo & Juliet" where Craig met his wife, Erica Grace Smith, who played Juliet. Craig originated the role of Sam Zonderman in the nationally acclaimed original play "Baby Grand" at the Spoleto Arts Festival in 1990.

In law school, Craig was active in national moot court competitions as a member of the Order of Barristers and the South Carolina Moot Court Team. He was runner-up for Best Oralist at the 1999 national John Marshall Technology Law Competition in Chicago. After graduating law school, Craig practiced for a year in the area of insurance defense. In 2000, he joined the Joye Law Firm where he focuses mainly in the area of personal injury litigation and mass torts.

Craig and his wife, Erica, live on James Island in Charleston, South Carolina. Erica is a Charleston native, a Northwestern graduate and a medical student at the Medical University of South Carolina. In his spare time Craig enjoys traveling, soccer, and gardening and is an arts and wine enthusiast.
