Lawyer Overview

Emily's practice includes both the defense of individual and class action consumer and products liability cases and the prosecution and defense of other complex commercial cases. Her experience covers virtually all aspects of discovery and trial preparation, including taking and defending depositions, motion practice, and the preparation of fact and expert witnesses for trial. In addition, she has been a member of several trial teams in high-profile cases tried to verdict, including the defense team that represented The Sherwin-Williams Company in a public nuisance action brought by the attorney general of the state of Rhode Island, which resulted in a 16-week trial in 2005-2006.

Emily is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Defense Research Institute. Emily is also active in the Atlanta community. She is a member of the Junior League of Atlanta, for which she serves as placement chair, participates in Emory University's mentorship program, sits on the board of directors for Girls on the Run of Atlanta, and was recently elected a barrister in the Lamar Inn of Court.
