Lawyer Overview

Paul Ditto practices in the area of general real estate, including all phases of real estate development and financing, with particular emphasis on the planning and structuring of equity ownership (joint ventures, partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations), including member or partner transfers, syndications, joint ventures, and partnership and limited liability agreements in such areas as real estate, construction, employee compensation, and family business, with additional emphasis on representing the borrower/developer in commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financings.

Paul has broad experience and regularly represents large institutional real estate acquisition funds in structuring joint ventures and privately placed investments through the use of limited liability companies and partnerships. Such representations regularly include The Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds, the Westbrook Real Estate Partners, Rockpoint Group, and The Woodlands Operating Company. As a Dallas native, Paul's practice has also included the direct representation of many local real estate developers in general commercial real estate transactions, with particular emphasis on the planning and structuring of joint ventures and other equity ownerships.

He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the ABA (Business Law and Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Sections), and the Dallas Bar Association (Real Property and Business Law Sections).
