Laura Cohen, Attorney at Law, is one of the few women lawyers in the Monroeville area that gears her practice to Family, Estate and Trust Law. Ms. Cohen graduated with honors from Chatham College as a single mother with two children. She then earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. During the time that Ms.Cohen worked at the Legal Aid Society and the Health Law Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, she realized the need for affordable, personalized legal representation.

Ms.Cohen opened the Family Legal Center in 1996 with the objective of providing a community based legal practice that provided personalized and professional legal representation. The Family Legal Center concentrates in Family Law including, divorce, adoption, custody, support and protection from abuse and juvenile matters. Attorney Cohen also handles wills, trusts and estate administration. The Family Legal Center provides complimentary services to the community through speaking engagements relating to the legal needs of families.

Most recently, Ms.Cohen had been named in the, "Who's Who" in American Law 2000 and, "Who's Who" of American Executives and Professionals. Ms.Cohen is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association and the American Bar Association. She has also been sworn in before the Supreme Court of the United States.
