Lawyer Overview

Cynthia Smith's practice is concentrated in the area of business and corporate law.  She counsels clients in business formation, capital-raising, bank and venture capital financing, acquisitions and mergers.  She counsels board of directors on corporate governance and legal compliance. 

Cynthia has developed expertise in protection of trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets and in the software licensing.  She advises franchisees and prospective franchisees on legal aspects of franchise relationships.

Cynthia has represented publicly-traded corporations, small and mid-sized businesses and individuals.  Her clients are involved in a variety of industries including software development, apparel, medical products, and real estate investment.
