Tanya Prew has extensive experience in managing, protecting, and advising international firms on their trade marks. She specializes in Asian trade mark registration, with a focus on matters related to Hong Kong. Her experience includes: management of global trade mark portfolios and advising on strategic brand management; advising, negotiating, drafting, and recording trade mark licence and assignment agreements; advising on trade mark searches (registrability and availability) as well as attending registrability hearings; preparing and filing trade mark oppositions and revocations; trade mark infringement and passing off advice; and global IP audits.

Before joining Jones Day, Tanya spent 13 years in the Hong Kong office of Baker & McKenzie, first as a trainee and then as a senior associate in the intellectual property department.

Tanya is a member of the law societies of Hong Kong and England & Wales, The Hong Kong Institute of Trade Mark Practitioners, and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys (U.K.).
