Lisa C. Thompson is certified to practice law in Arizona, Nevada, and Washington, D.C.  She graduated from the University of Arizona, College of Law with her Juris Doctor in 1995 and in 1997 with her LL.M. (Master of Laws) in international trade law.  Ms. Thompson received her B.A. in journalism from the University of Arizona in 1991 with a minor in Spanish.  She has been an adjunct professor for nine years with the International M.B.A. program at Universidad Internacional de las Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica. In addition, she has also taught U.S. Constitutional law for the Universidad de Guadalajara in Guadalajara, Mexico, and Legal Research and Writing for three years at the University of Arizona, College of Law.  Ms. Thompson was the 1996 Munger Scholar for International Business Law (University of Arizona, College of Law).  Her publications include articles in two legal journals: The ISO 9000 Quality Standards: Will They Constitute a Technical Barrier to Free trade Under the NAFTA and the WTO?, University of Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law (1997), and International Dispute Resolution in the United States and Mexico:  A Practical guide to Terms, Arbitration Clauses, and the Enforcement of Judgments and Arbitral Awards, Syracuse Journal of International Law and Commerce (1997). Ms. Thompson's other publications include: Arizona Legal Forms Debtor-Creditor (Second Edition) and Arizona Legal Forms Limited Liability Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (Third Edition).   Ms. Thompson is the author of the federal bankruptcy law chapter in the Business Law Deskbook series for California, Michigan, and New Jersey and co-author of the Arizona Business Law Deskbook (four volume series) and Nevada Business Law Deskbook (two volume series).  She updates these publications annually.

Ms Thompson has owned her own law firm since 1995.  Currently, Thompson Law Group - Nevada focuses its practice on business law, corporate practice, collections, and construction law.  She is fluent in Spanish.
