This year Jones Day marks its 30th anniversary in Texas and celebrates 10 years in Houston. Jones Day Houston is a full-service office with more than fifty attorneys who are well-positioned to counsel businesses regarding transactions or disputes in Texas, in addition to clients with operations and investments throughout the world.

Jones Day Houston attorneys provide clients with the full complement of legal services relating to significant transactions and business restructuring — including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets and securities, and banking and finance — and disputes, including commercial litigation and arbitration, governmental investigations, and appeals. In addition, the Houston Office has extensive capabilities in labor and employment law, product liability and mass torts, intellectual property, securities litigation and SEC enforcement, and energy regulation, including work before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. We represent clients across a range of industries including energy, financial services, chemicals, medical devices, telecommunications, transportation, housing, and technology. While we are dedicated to excellent client service worldwide, we are equally committed to the City of Houston and surrounding community. Our attorneys volunteer their time to prosecute misdemeanor offenses for the Houston City Attorney’s Office. Our attorneys also provide pro bono legal services to Texas Appleseed and numerous other special assistance organizations and serve on non-profit boards in the Houston community, including the Houston Chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth. We actively support a broad range of non-legal community and charitable organizations working in Houston and throughout Southeast Texas, including the Houston Grand Opera’s – Opera to Go! Series, which engages over 42,000 students in arts education annually, as well as the United Way – Texas Gulf Coast Chapter.
