Lawyer Overview

Michelle Brown has a broad real estate practice with an emphasis in complex acquisitions and dispositions and real estate finance. She has been involved in acquisitions and dispositions in the retail, hospitality, and health care industries involving hundreds of properties in all geographic locations of the United States. She specializes in assisting clients in developing and implementing a multistate disposition program from the preparation of form documents and bid packages through the closing of the various divestitures.

Michelle has experience representing borrowers in CMBS and other types of real estate financing transactions. She also represents other Firm clients in the real estate aspects of merger and acquisition transactions and corporate real estate services matters. She has worked as outside contracting counsel for a national restaurant franchising company, and her practice also includes refranchising and seed market transactions.

Michelle has represented a variety of public and private companies in real estate and corporate matters, including The Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds, Behringer Harvard, Prime Property Fund, United Dominion Realty Trust, Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, Albertson's LLC, Arctic Glacier, Federated Department Stores, J.C. Penney, Yum! Brands, Metromedia Restaurant Group, Romacorp, Banner Health System, and Caremark Rx.

Michelle is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Dallas Bar Association. In 2005, she was selected as a "Texas Rising Star Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics and Texas Monthly.
