Michelle Brown represents clients in complex real estate transactions with an emphasis on real estate finance and acquisitions and dispositions of office and retail buildings, apartments, hotels, restaurants, and grocery stores located throughout the United States. Michelle has experience in distressed asset transactions, loan assumptions, and workouts. She also represents other Firm clients in the real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions transactions and corporate real estate services matters.

Representative transactions include Morgan Stanley's $1.5 billion buyout of Town & Country Trust and $525 million acquisition of 11,000 home sites from Lennar Corp., the acquisition of 3.2 million square feet of office space in downtown Chicago by Behringer Harvard Funds, and the $433 million acquisition of the Krotz Springs Refinery by Alon USA Energy. Michelle also has represented Albertson's, Artic Glacier, J.C. Penney, Minyard Food Stores, Patriarch Partners, Pyramid Hotel Opportunity Venture Funds, and Yum! Brands.

Michelle is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, The Real Estate Council, Commercial Real Estate Women, and Attorneys Serving the Community. In 2005, she was selected as a "Texas Rising Star Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics and Texas Monthly.
