Scott Dauscher is a Partner in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, and Ruud & Romo and is the Chair of the firm’s Class Action Defense Group. Mr. Dauscher has extensive experience with class action lawsuits, particularly class actions involving claims for unpaid overtime, off-the-clock work and meal & rest periods. Mr. Dauscher is one of just a handful of lawyers in California who has litigated a wage and hour class action through trial. As Chair of the Class Action Defense Group, Mr. Dauscher manages the firm’s extensive class action practice.
Mr. Dauscher represents employers in various employment litigation matters, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, immigration, wage & hour, and prevailing wage litigation. Mr. Dauscher aggressively litigates complex employment cases in state and federal court and has represented clients before numerous state and federal administrative agencies and arbitrations.
In addition to his employment litigation practice, Mr. Dauscher also represents companies in various business litigation matters including unfair competition, trade secret, breach of contract, and other business tort litigation. Among his many legal accomplishments, Mr. Dauscher recently obtained a judgment in excess of $1 million in a breach of contract case. In another case, Mr. Dauscher represented an employer in a lawsuit against a former employee who embezzled from the company. Mr. Dauscher recovered over $2 million from the former employee. In a case in which a competitor sued a client for alleged theft of trade secrets, Mr. Dauscher obtained judgment in favor of his client.
In 2006, 2007 and 2008, Mr. Dauscher was named a "Southern California Rising Star" by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine, based on a poll of selected Southern California lawyers. This recognition honors exceptional Southern California attorneys who are under the age of 40.
