Mr. Sperber’s practice also includes general litigation, consumer protection, defamation and privacy.

Mr. Sperber has successfully represented clients in numerous state and federal forums, including the Superior Courts of California, the California Labor Commissioner, the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the California Department of Fair Employment & Housing (DFEH) and the United States Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Mr. Sperber also represents clients in private arbitration and mediation.

Mr. Sperber is a mediator for the EEOC, the Berkeley Dispute Resolution Service and private parties.

Prior to opening his own practice in 2000, Mr. Sperber practiced law at Littler Mendelson, P.C., the largest labor and employment law firm in the United States. While at Littler Mendelson, Mr. Sperber advised employers on myriad employment-related issues, including anti-discrimination laws, executive employment contracts, arbitration agreements, employee handbooks, unfair competition, hiring policies and practices, employee privacy and premises liability. Additionally, Mr. Sperber conducted investigations and litigated on behalf of his clients, which ranged from small businesses to Fortune 100 companies.

Mr. Sperber also clerked for the Oakland City Attorney, the San Francisco Employment Law Center and Simpson, Aherne & Garrity, P.C. (now Simpson, Garrity & Innes, P.C.), an AV-rated law firm that represents management in labor and employment litigation.

Mr. Sperber is admitted to practice before the California Supreme Court, all Courts of Appeal and Superior Courts, as well as the United States District Court for the Northern District of California. He is a member in good standing of the State Bar of California. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, the Alameda County Bar Association, the San Francisco County Bar Association and the litigation and employment law sections of each of these associations. Mr. Sperber is also on the attorney panel of California Lawyers for the Arts.
