Lawyer Overview

Stephan Bernhard Koch’s practice focuses on corporate law and mergers and acquisitions for domestic and international clients, in particular in the fields of energy and technology.

Stephan regularly provides assistance to a major German gas company on a variety of transactional and corporate matters, including its acquisition of a large number of regional utility companies in Eastern Germany. He also recently served as counsel for a leading European energy group in its acquisition of various offshore wind farm projects in the North Sea. Previously, he served as an advisor to a Norwegian energy group in its acquisition of a major power plant project in Germany.

Stephan regularly publishes articles on corporate and transactional matters.

Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson Raue in 2001, Stephan was an attorney in the corporate and mergers and acquisitions practice of another major international law firm.
