Erica Bachmann has experience in a range of complex commercial litigation, focusing primarily on defending federal securities fraud class actions. She also has defended toxic tort class actions and individual suits brought under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Erica is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and the Texas Young Lawyers Association. She is proficient in French and Italian.

A sample of Erica's litigation experience includes:

• In re Enron Corporation Securities Litigation (S.D. Tex. and other states and districts). Represent Lehman Brothers in several pending securities fraud class actions brought by shareholders and noteholders of the Enron Corporation under the 1933 and 1934 Acts, as well as the Texas Securities Act, other state statutes, and common law.

• Hastings Entertainment, Inc. Securities Litigation (N.D. Tex.). Represented company and officers and directors in securities fraud class actions brought under the 1933 and 1934 Acts.

• Dole Food Company Litigation (multistate and multidistrict). Defended company and affiliates in numerous multidefendant mass tort actions and subsequent indemnification matter arising from alleged injuries from certain pesticides.

Erica coauthored an article, ""Electronic Discovery: Recent Views on Cost Shifting,"" which appeared in 49 The Federal Lawyer 36 (Aug. 2002). More recently, Erica coauthored ""Ripples on the Shores of Zubulake: Practice Considerations from Recent Electronic Discovery Decisions,"" which was originally published in the November/December 2003 issue of The Federal Lawyer.
