Speakman & Jackson, L.L.C. was founded in 1999 as its predecessor firms of Speakman & Speakman by Michael Speakman and Judge Steven Speakman and Jackson Law Group, L.L.C. by Raymond Jackson. Steven Speakman was a partner from 1999 to 2010, when he was elected Lee County District Judge. The firm concentrates on criminal defense, plaintiff's personal injury, business law, contracts, and domestic relations in all state and federal courts, including the municipal courts of Auburn and Opelika, Alabama. The firm also represents clients in the areas of probate, wills and trusts, workers' compensation, civil litigation, Social Security disability, insurance, and appellate practice. The firm represents businesses and individuals, including college students, throughout east and central Alabama. With more than 37 years of combined legal experience, our attorneys offer each client personal attention in addressing our clients' legal matters. The firm's goal is to provide a high standard of legal services and address each clients' concerns promptly and courteously. Michael Speakman and Raymond Jackson are both alumni of Auburn University. Michael is a graduate of Washington and Lee University School of Law, and Raymond is a graduate of the University of Alabama School of Law. They listen to and work closely with their clients to identify their clients' goals and form a plan that meets their clients' objectives and financial needs. They are not afraid to fight for their clients at trial, in both civil and criminal cases.
