Lawyer Overview

Scott E. Gizer is an associate in the firm's litigation department and practices in all areas of business litigation.  Mr. Gizer has been recognized as a Southern California "Rising Star" from 2005 through 2007 by Los Angeles Magazine and Law & Politics, based on its independent survey of top attorneys within their first 10 years of practice and under 40 years of age.  During his second year of practice, Mr. Gizer successfully tried a multi-million dollar property dispute in the city of Santa Barbara, California.

Mr. Gizer received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, San Diego in 1998.  He received his Juris Doctorate from Loyola Law School in 2002, where he was on the Dean's list from 2000-2002.  While in law school, Mr. Gizer received the American Jurisprudence Award for Appellate Advocacy and competed as a finalist in the American Bar Association's Moot Court Competition.  Mr. Gizer was also a judicial extern for the Honorable S. James Otero of the United States District Court, Central District of California, as well as a Certified Law Clerk for the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office where he was responsible for conducting felony preliminary hearings.
