We believe that the future of legal practice is going to be, at least in part, on the internet. We think this is so because, when you get right down to it, the business of lawyering is basically just the business of manipulating and communicating information. Whether he is drafting a contract, putting together a lawsuit, writing a letter, or doing legal research, a lawyer's raw material and his end product are almost always information of one kind or another.

What better vehicle to deliver these information services than on the internet?

Of course there will always be a need for the lawyer's warm body in the courtroom in the complicated cases. However, in many uncomplicated or uncontested cases it is simply not necessary to hire an attorney to hold a client's hand in court at a rate of several hundred dollars per hour.
