Howard A. Zavell, a partner of the firm, has been practicing law for five (5) years. Mr. Zavell received his Juris Doctorate with Honors from IIT-Chicago Kent College of Law in June 1992, and was admitted to practice in the State of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois in 1992. Prior thereto, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana in 1989. While attending the University of Illinois, in addition to his academic studies, he was a nationally competitive gymnast and the captain of the 1989 University of Illinois Mens Gymnastics Team which was the NCAA Division One Champion.

Prior to becoming of Counsel with Dickler, Kahn, Slowikowski & Zavell, LTD., Mr. Zavell practiced with the Chicago Law Firm of Briski & Alfieri, Mr. Zavell began his own practice in general litigation with an emphasis on corporate law, contracts, commercial litigation, collection litigation, and personal injury matters. Mr. Zavell became of Counsel to Dickler, Kahn, Slowikowski & Zavell, LTD., in June of 1994 and in addition to handling condominium and homeowners association matters, he continues to practice in the area of general civil litigation, corporate law, business law, contracts, personal injury, and medical malpractice litigation. Mr. Zavell, now a partner of the firm, practice includes the representation of shopping center owners and developers in their negotiations and contracts with both national and local tenants. Mr. Zavell routinely handles all aspects of corporate matters, contracts, as well as collection activities for corporations, medical practices, and manufacturers representatives under Illinois Sales Representatives Act. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
