Carol Gefis, a Partner with Oswald & Yap, practices in the areas of business and employment litigation. Her experience includes over 20 years representing both Plaintiffs and Defendants in diverse business and employment cases in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and appeals.

Ms. Gefis has extensive experience in many aspects of business litigation, including contract disputes, unfair business practices, purchase and sale transactions, business break-ups, shareholder disputes, partnership issues,  intellectual property infringement and trade secret cases.

In the employment arena, Ms. Gefis represents primarily employers, but will also selectively accept plaintiff's claims.  Her practice encompasses claims of race, gender and disability discrimination, sexual harassment, wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, retaliation, and non-compete issues.  Ms. Gefis also advises and counsels employers regarding employment policies, terminations, wage issues, and drafting employment agreements and handbooks.
