Lawyer Overview

Stuart House is an experienced and accomplished family law attorney, who has focused his practice on all aspects of divorce and family law litigation, including high conflict child custody issues, complex financial issues dealing with equitable distribution of assets and liabilities and alimony and child support issues. While Mr. House works diligently on behalf of his clients to negotiate and implement a settlement of issues which is fair to his clients, for those cases where the opposing party is unwilling to resolve matters by agreement on a fair and equitable basis, Mr. House has the legal knowledge, advocacy skills, and courtroom experience to effectively and successfully advance his clients interest inside the courtroom. Mr. House's legal knowledge and advocacy skills have been acquired through numerous trials and hundreds of contested proceedings over the last two decades. While a reasonable settlement is the preferred method to resolve family controversies, it is critically important that your rights are fully protected by an attorney that has the skills and experience necessary to effectively advocate on your behalf in the courtroom. Often times in family law cases, in order to obtain a fair settlement, it is necessary that the opposition understand that your attorney has the ability and willingness to go to trial in the event that a reasonable settlement is not effectuated.

Stuart House began his career as a family law attorney in 1991 with the firm of Thompson & Reynolds, P.A. Thereafter in 1992, Mr. House was a child support enforcement prosecutor working for the law firm of Bacen & Kaplan, P.A., a private law firm which handled child support enforcement matters, both in state and interstate for the State of Florida. Thereafter Mr. House opened his own law firm where he practiced primarily in the area of family law from 1994 until 2000, at which time he became partners with Patrick Giunta. Since that time, Mr. House has handled all family law matters for the firm of Giunta & House, P.A., including, but not limited to, divorce, pre-nuptial agreements, post-nuptial agreements, child custody matters, timesharing and visitation matters, paternity, child support, support enforcement, domestic violence, parental relocation, parental kidnapping issues and Hague Convention issues.

In addition to an active practice as a family law attorney, Mr. House has also participated in Bar activities at both the state and local level, having served on various committees within the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, as a board member of the Broward County Bar Association, and as President of the North Broward Bar Association. If you have any questions regarding Mr. House's experience or qualifications, you should contact him at 954.928.0100 or snh@ghpalaw.com.
