Marc Colen is an attorney who has incorporated his extensive technical knowledge, educations and experience into his law practice, permitting him to provide exceptional service in the firms areas of practice, intellectual property and technically related law and litigation. He has served a diverse clientele that includes manufacturers, e-commerce companies, Internet companies, distributors, health care providers, motion picture producers, entertainers, recording studios and equipment suppliers. For over twenty years Mr. Colen has assisted his clients on all aspects of intellectual property law and technical law and litigation, from trademarks, patent and copyright sto contract negotiations and litigation, from federal regulation to white collar crime, and from toxic tort and product liability litigation to unfair competition litigation.
Mr. Colen is admitted to practice in all of the relevant courts and agencies, including the United States Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Federal Court of Appeals, the United States Tax Court, all of the Federal District Courts in California, the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the California Supreme Court and all other Appellate, Superior and Municipal Courts in California.
He is a member of the California Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Society of Automotive and Aerospace Engineers, the Society of Audio Engineers, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers as well as numeorus other law and technical societies and associations.
In addition to his legal expertise, Mr. Colen, who has B.S. and M.S. degrees in engineering from U.C. L.A., has an extraoridnary breadth of technical knowledge and experience. He has written and had published over forty papers and articles, many in peer reviewed journals, as well as two limited distribution books, has made dozens of television and radio appearances, and has been quoted in over one thousand newspapers.
Mr. Colen has lectured and taught in many venues, teaching at U.C.L.A., the RAND Graduate School and Pierce College. He was a consultant to the RAND Corporation on national and international security matters, where he held a Top Secret security clearance. In addition, he developed and taught a California State Bar approved continuing education course.
