Law Firm Overview

Since its founding, Anderson Pangia & Associates, PLLC, has become a well-known and highly respected law firm. Our attorneys and staff have the experience and dedication to skillfully handle the most complex cases involving nursing home abuse and neglect, aviation disasters, medical malpractice, toxic torts, complex business litigation and abuse and neglect of persons with disabilities. Our offices are located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina (the Piedmont Triad) and downtown Washington, DC, a few minutes drive from Capital Hill. Anderson Pangia has the resources necessary to handle cases throughout the United States.

The Firm's founder, Joseph Anderson, is a 1989 graduate of Harvard Law School. After completing a Judicial Clerkship with the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Alaska, Mr. Anderson joined the law firm of O'Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles, led by Warren Christopher. There, Mr. Anderson concentrated his practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including securities fraud class action defense for Lockheed Aerospace, and intellectual property litigation for Paramount Pictures.

Attorney Michael Pangia heads up the firm's aviation practice. Like Mr. Anderson, Mr. Pangia is a licensed pilot and has long experience with air crash disasters. As the former chief trial lawyer for the Federal Aviation Administration and a recipient of the Attorney General award for outstanding achievement in the development of aviation law, Mr. Pangia is nationally recognized as an expert in aviation law and safety. Mr. Pangia maintains an active aviation practice in Washington, D.C., representing victims and families in major air crash trials.

In 2007, the firm opened an office in Washington, DC and the firm's name was officially changed to Anderson Pangia & Associates, PLLC.

Mr. John Korzen, previously with our firm, has now joined the full-time faculty at the Wake Forest University School of Law teaching appellate advocacy. Mr. Korzen continues to advise the firm on appellate matters involving our clients.
