Prior to founding his own firm in 1991, Robert Berke had been a litigation and managing partner with the Los Angeles firm of Overland, Berke, Wesley, Gits, Randolph and Levanas and a litigation attorney for the Center of Law in the Public Interest. The Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, which rates lawyers nationally, has issued Robert Berke its highest "AV" rating.

The practice provides a blend of hourly rate criminal defense cases and selected, complex plaintiff's contingent fee personal injury cases, in actions usually involving corporate defendants. Since its inception, the firm has been successful in obtaining multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements.
