Law Firm Overview

Mr. Rockwell is an experienced lawyer whose law practice focuses on a number of specialty areas. Most notably, Mr. Rockwell provides highly professional service as an arbitrator and mediator for both domestic and international commercial disputes. He is the founder of Pacific Arbitration Institute, a private ADR company and he serves as a member of the American Arbitration Association's commercial and international panel of neutrals. Additionally, Mr. Rockwell serves as court appointed arbitrator for the State of Washington Superior Court.

Mr. Rockwell served as the Public Member of the State Medical Disciplinary Board, now the Medical Quality Assurance Commission, appointed by Governor Booth Gardner from 1985-1993. He now is retired from the Commission and is regularly engaged by physicians and surgeons on matters of discipline and licensure before the Commission. His experience in this area of administrative law is extensive.

Mr. Rockwell has represented a number of plaintiffs in complex medical malpractice civil lawsuits. With his background on the Medical Disciplinary Board, he is uniquely qualified to represent injured and aggrieved consumers of health care. Regularly, he has associated other litigation counsel in the representation of plaintiff's interest, most notably the distinguished law firm of Susman, Godfrey, LLP, with offices in Houston, Seattle and Los Angeles.

His law practice also includes estate planning services for individuals and families, including the review and preparation of Wills, Trusts, Durable Power of Attorney and Living Wills. This comprehensive service is also frequently done in conjunction with other Seattle-Bellevue area counsel.

Mr. Rockwell has recently worked with Messrs. Peter Briger of New York, London and Buenos Aires and Cym Lowell of Dallas, TX (Briger & Lowell) on matters concerning the representation of multinational corporations. Specifically in the area of international transfer pricing, advance pricing agreements and the negotiation of favorable tax consequences to multinationals, they are of counsel to a broad group of corporations, business entities, and governments in the United states, England, Germany, Japan and South America. Messrs. Briger and Lowell are the authors of the definitive treatise entitled "U.S. International Transfer Pricing".

Mr. Rockwell has also been engaged in matters concerning sports law, having worked as a marketing consultant for International Management Group (IMG), the worlds largest premier sports marketing company, headquartered in Cleveland, OH.
