Lawyer Overview

As a shareholder, Todd concentrates his practice on the representation of energy companies as a member of the firm’s Energy and Renewable Energy Groups. Todd advises clients on a wide range of business and regulatory matters, including project development, purchase agreements and other contract matters, transmission development and interconnection, rate regulation, large energy facility permitting matters, and contested cases. Todd also works closely with biofuels and biomass producers on project development, finance, feedstock, and corporate law matters.

As part of the renewable energy team, Todd brings his experience and industry expertise to help expand the firm’s leadership in wind, biomass, and biofuels project development. Todd represents both utility-scale and small wind clients. Also active in the biofuels industry, he has acted as lead counsel for farmer-owned cooperatives in development, financing, and constructing ethanol and biodiesel plants and continues to act as outside general counsel to renewable fuel clients, assisting them resolve corporate, finance, and governance issues.
