Rich has represented clients in a wide variety of complex civil litigation, including federal and state antitrust class actions, securities class actions, general commercial disputes, and various real estate matters. He also has worked closely with the Firm's antitrust group in representing clients during cartel investigations by U.S. and international enforcement authorities.

Rich's extensive antitrust experience includes representing Bayer AG and its affiliates in connection with a series of investigations of alleged price-fixing in the rubber and polyurethane industries and in the related federal and state civil actions, which include:

• Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1542 (D. N.J.)

• Polychloroprene Rubber (CR) Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1642 (D. N.J.)

• Urethane Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1616 (D. Kan.)

• Rubber Chemicals Antitrust Litigation, MDL 1648 (N.D. Cal.) and

• Diamond Holding Corp. v. Crompton Corp., et al., Case No. 03-1898 (W.D. Pa.) (consolidated acrylonitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) antitrust litigation).

Rich also has represented R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company in a series of federal and state civil actions related to alleged price-fixing in the cigarette industry, winning summary judgment in the lead federal case, Williamson Oil Co. v. Philip Morris USA, et al., 346 F.3d 1287 (11th Cir. 2003). Rich's securities litigation experience includes representing a former executive and board member of a real estate investment trust in a federal class action related to alleged accounting fraud, In re: The Mills Corporation Securities Litigation, Case No. 1:06-cv-00077 (E.D. Va.).

Rich devotes a substantial amount of time to pro bono clients. He has represented the D.C. Preservation League, the leading historic preservation organization in the nation's capital, in numerous administrative and civil proceedings. Rich is also involved in the fight to secure safe, affordable housing for District residents and has recently represented a group of tenants from Southeast D.C. in litigation seeking relief from severe housing code violations.
