Summary

Law Firm Overview

Ann I. Brandau and Peter T. Waltz have decades of experience in family law, divorce, Social Security disability, workers' compensation, and personal injury. Both have experience as judicial law clerks, early in their careers, working directly with judges and court personnel. After many years in private practice, they joined forces to form Brandau & Waltz Law Offices, LLP in April of 1997. Now, they focus their energies on collaborating with their clients to gain satisfying resolutions to a range of challenging legal problems.

In approaching client relationships, Ann and Pete believe that the most important goal is working with their clients to reach a reasonable solution to a legal problem. Some lawyers take a win-at-all costs approach, using their own definition of "success." Ann and Pete take the time to become familiar with their clients' goals, needs, and values. They are very responsive to inquires and questions about the law.

The big picture involves not only the desired outcome but also the path along the way. When dealing with a legal problem, it is important to maintain both financial and emotional health. In considering your legal options it is essential to weigh the possibilities of reaching your goal and the long and short-term impact of your strategy. In addition, it is helpful to consult a lawyer before your legal situation becomes unbearable. By working with Ann Brandau and Peter Waltz, who know Wisconsin's and Minnesota's legal systems intimately, you are making a positive step toward knowing your options and finding a reasonable, cost-effective, and positive solution.

As lawyers, the best Ann and Pete can do for their clients is to get the job done compassionately, accurately, and with personal attention. They are more concerned about working out a resolution than creating a quick fix that can complicate rather than solve a legal issue. They know when to be assertive and when to take some time to analyze the situation properly.
