The longevity of the firm speaks to its success in serving the needs of its clients. Charles Pauly and Kevin Checkett each have over 26 years of experience as practicing attorneys. Kevin Checkett opened a general practice in 1977. Since then he has focused on commercial & bankruptcy litigation, and on estate and business planning. He routinely handles bankruptcy matters throughout the country.

Charles "Chuck" Pauly practiced law in Dallas, Texas for 15 years before coming to Carthage. Prior to then his professional career was with large law firms. He has represented manufacturing and distribution businesses, retail and service companies, and firms specializing in real estate development, aviation, insurance, motion picture feature films, and music.

Kevin Checkett and Charles Pauly have each received the Martindale-Hubbell AV rating, which is awarded only to attorneys whose peers recommend them as holding the highest standards of legal ability and professional integrity.
