Lawyer Overview

Jim Jones serves as the Administrative Partner of the Pittsburgh Office.

Jim frequently represents clients in class actions and multijurisdictional litigation. He has defended these multiparty actions in state and federal trial and appellate courts around the country. These actions have included product liability, consumer fraud, and other statutory and common law claims. In these proceedings, Jim has represented financial institutions, telecommunications companies, medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and other product manufacturers and service providers.

Jim also has varied experience in commercial litigation. He litigates and arbitrates breach of contract, business tort, RICO, and accountant's liability actions and defends automobile manufacturers in dealer litigation.

Jim's jury trial experience includes commercial and product liability cases.

He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Allegheny County Bar Association. Jim is also a Fellow of the Columbus Bar Foundation, having practiced with the Firm's Columbus, Ohio office for 11 years.

The Legal Services Corporation has named Jim the "Nation's Urban Pro Bono Publico Attorney of the Year" for his work with the homeless. The Columbus Bar Association conferred upon Jim its Community Service Award, and the Columbus Junior Chamber of Commerce named him one of the community's Ten Outstanding Young Citizens.
