Arthur C. Johnson is the senior shareholder of the firm. Mr. Johnson's practice focuses on product liability, defective medical products, industrial and workplace injuries, defective vehicles and aircraft, and truck and complex vehicle collisions. He also has been extensively involved in federal, multi-district product liability litigation.
Mr. Johnson most recently received the distinguished "Owen M. Panner Professionalism Award" in 2006, and is also the recipient of the "Meritorious Service Award" from the University of Oregon School of Law in 1994, the Distinguished Trial Lawyer Award from the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association in 1990, and the Public Justice Award in 1991. He has been named in "Best Trial Lawyers of America" from 1989 to the present. He is a former president of the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, the Lane County Bar, and the Oregon State Bar. He has published and lectured for the Oregon State Bar, the National Association of Legal Investigators, the Oregon Law Institute, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and Lane County Bar Association.
Mr. Johnson received his LLB degree from Harvard University Law School in 1953. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Oregon in 1950.
Mr. Johnson is a member of the State Bar of Oregon (as well as past President, Governors Board-Member, ABA delegate, Director of the Professional Liability Fund, and member of Uniform Jury Instruction and Procedure and Practice Committees of the Bar), the American Association for Justice, the Oregon Trial Lawyers Association, and Trial Lawyers for Public Justice. He is admitted to practice in all Oregon state and federal courts, U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit, U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Court, District of Northern California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth Circuit.
