EMPHASIS

Communicating with, and counselling, individual clients on difficult and complex litigation and estate settlement matters. Negotiation resulting in prompt and practical resolution of disputes is stressed. Litigation leading to trial will be pursued where necessary. Practice has historically emphasized estate planning, settlement and administration of decedents' estates, from small to large estates. In addition, during the past ten years, practice has involved a diversity of complex civil litigation, including: trust construction action wherein natural born adopted-out descendent held included in trust in excess of $20 million; motorcycle accident victim successfully recovered $1.1 million in uninsured motorist arbitration decision; significant settlements have been achieved in the civil law fields of will contests, assaults against minors, wrongful discharge from employment, personal injury, etc. Practice additionally includes marriage dissolution, post-dissolution matters, premarital agreements, business planning for private individuals including private corporations and limited liability companies.
