Lawyer Overview
Ted Meyer has broad-based, multistate experience in labor and employment law and is board certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Ted handles a wide variety of labor and employment litigation, counseling, and training matters, including multiplaintiff cases and collective actions, litigation against the EEOC, ADA/FMLA/Workers' Comp matters, ERISA litigation, wage and hour litigation, noncompete and trade secret litigation, and training and counseling/advice involving all levels throughout organizations. He also has drafted and implemented nationwide compensation plans and policies as well as protocols for nationwide reductions in force and has worked closely with the leadership of large organizations on employee relations strategies and plans.
Ted has been listed by Who's Who Legal as one of the top 30 management labor & employment attorneys in Texas. He also has been recognized by Texas Lawyer and Texas Monthly as one of the "Texas Super Lawyers" in labor and employment law for five straight years and by Chambers USA and The Best Lawyers in America guide as one of the nation's leading labor and employment lawyers and was listed by H Magazine as one of "Houston's Best Lawyers." He is also a frequent speaker at labor and employment seminars. Prior to joining Jones Day in 2004, Ted was with the Houston office of Seyfarth Shaw and served as its managing partner for four years.
