Shaw Law Firm's main office is located in downtown Ithaca, New York, and our secondary office is located in Trumansburg, New York.  Both offices are located in the heart of the beautiful Finger Lakes region. 

Founded in 1979, by William R. Shaw, we are a well-established firm and regularly work with individuals, families, businesses, corporations and not-for-profit organizations.  Shaw Law Firm is a general practice law firm that provides professional, knowledgeable, and personal representation. 

Our firm has experience in many different areas of the law and experience working with a diverse client base.  We are a general practice firm with a wide breadth of experience including but not limited to the areas of Adoption, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Business and Commercial Law, Civil Litigation, Civil Rights, Collections and Creditor's Rights, Criminal Defense, Domestic Relations, Estate Administration, Estate Planning, Employment Discrimination, Juvenile Justice (delinquency, PINS), Family Court Matters, Not-for-Profit Corporations, Personal Injury, and Real Estate Law.  Our attorneys have litigation experience in both New York State and Federal Courts.

While our main office is located in downtown Ithaca, New York, our firm regularly provides services to clients beyond the Ithaca and Tompkins County area including the adjoining and neighboring counties and the nearby towns and cities such as Auburn, Binghamton, Cortland, Elmira, Seneca Falls, Syracuse and Waterloo. 

While our practice is limited to New York State and its State and Federal Courts, our clients' interests encompass the globe and our clients can be found locally, as well as throughout the United States, Canada, and other foreign countries.
