Founded in 1980, today Jones Day's Columbus Office is home to more than 60 lawyers with practices that touch virtually every aspect of corporate law. We advise leading corporations in Ohio and throughout the world, working together to solve the complex and ever-changing legal challenges facing the business community.
Our Columbus litigators have a long record of success in products liability, labor and employment, securities, and appellate matters (including cases argued before the U.S. Supreme Court), in addition to general business-related litigation disputes. Our transactional lawyers assist clients in bringing mergers and acquisitions, private equity, real estate, and restructuring deals to successful completion. We also have extensive experience in tax law, corporate governance, franchising, and corporate criminal investigations. Our clients, which include Abercrombie & Fitch, Battelle, Cardinal Health, Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company, and Scotts, reflect the range of industries we represent. The Columbus Office, moreover, works seamlessly with our global network of more than 2,400 lawyers in offices across the Americas, Europe, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East, giving our clients timely access to the counsel they need from experienced, skilled lawyers around the world.
While dedicated to providing our clients with the highest possible service, and staying current with national and international legal developments, Jones Day Columbus lawyers are equally committed to serving the Central Ohio community. We dedicate our time to a wide variety of non-profit and civic organizations benefiting education, minorities, children, and the arts. We hold key leadership roles in a number of organizations, including BalletMet Columbus, CATCO Theater, the Columbus Council on World Affairs, Crittenton Community School, Franklin Park Conservatory, Ohio State University Medical Center, ProMusica Chamber Orchestra, and Wexner Center for the Arts.
