Lawyer Overview

Kevin Boyce's practice focuses on product liability and complex litigation. He has particular experience in aerospace and aviation litigation as well as handling sensitive internal investigations, including those conducted by the FAA and NTSB. He also represents clients in connection with government investigations arising under the Consumer Product Safety Act and the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. He has obtained verdicts in significant high-risk cases and has served as lead counsel for clients in state and federal courts around the country.

Kevin is currently counsel for Parker Hannifin in several commercial aircraft crash cases pending in the U.S. and overseas; Mattel Corporation in connection with actions arising out of alleged excessive lead in toys, including several U.S. and foreign class action lawsuits and congressional/state investigations; and R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in several multimillion personal injury lawsuits.

Recently, Kevin helped Mattel reach a satisfactory resolution with a consortium of state attorneys general in connection with civil investigative demands, and he prepared the company for congressional hearings and interviews with congressional staff investigators. He obtained a dismissal with prejudice for R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. in a personal injury case. In other work, he secured a defense verdict for Nextel Communications in an action brought by affiliates of Sprint Corporation and helped a client achieve a satisfactory result in a complex food safety matter involving allegations of e-coli infection.

Kevin is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.
