Rob Lopez has practiced at Hagens Berman Sobol Shapiro since 2004. He brings to the firm a broad range of legal experience, having practiced in the fields of complex commercial litigation; creditor-debtor litigation; franchise litigation; eminent domain litigation; employer-employee litigation; and intellectual property litigation. He also has advised clients with respect to trademark, trade-name, copyright, and Internet-communications law.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lopez was a partner at the Seattle firm of Betts, Patterson & Mines and a founding member and owner of the Seattle firm Socius Law Group. His previous work included defending and prosecuting law suits and other civil actions in the federal and state trial courts and administrative tribunals. He also has defended complex adversary proceedings in the federal bankruptcy court. In addition, he has prosecuted and defended appeals in the federal and state courts of appeal.

Mr. Lopez graduated in 1986 from Gonzaga University, where he was an Arnold Scholar, with a bachelor's degree in English Literature. He received his law degree in 1991 from the University of Washington.

Mr. Lopez is admitted to the bars of the federal and state courts in the state of Washington, and he is admitted to the bar of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
