NILES, BARTON & WILMER, LLP consists of over 35 attorneys, as well as over 35 support personnel. The firm's principal office is in the Harborplace Tower in the heart of Baltimore's Inner Harbor commercial and financial district.

The range of the firm's practice is evident from the clients it represents. Clients include publicly as well as closely-held corporations, hospitals, insurance companies, educational institutions, banks and other financial institutions, developers and trade associations. Although a portion of the firm's client base is in the Baltimore metropolitan region, Niles Barton & Wilmer represents many national and international clients located outside of Maryland. Some clients retain the firm as general counsel for its full-service capabilities, while others rely on the firm for representation related to specific concentrations.

Firm members and associates have recognized experience and expertise in many different areas. In order to assure the highest standards, the firm is organized into departments, which are broadly defined as Litigation, Corporate/Commercial, Real Estate, and Estates and Trusts. In each department are various sub-concentrations such as insurance, surety, construction, fidelity, admiralty, labor, creditor's rights, commercial lending, environmental law and tax and estate planning. In addition to Maryland, some of the firm's attorneys are licensed to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia and Pennsylvania.
